Posting Summary: The Communications and Marketing department of the McIntire School of Commerce seeks an energetic and resourceful Associate Director of Marketing. Serving a variety of areas across the school, the candidate will help develop and execute scalable marketing campaigns and project plans that meet our audiences where they are and complement our evolving brand. S/he will be responsible for providing marketing leadership, coordination and guidance across the School and its divisions with implementation of integrated marketing outreach activities via organic and paid digital, social and traditional media, including but not limited to web, email, social media, SEO, direct mail, paid search and advertising. S/he will work with our internal clients to understand goals and help to shape project plans that deliver measurable results and ROI. S/he will work to ensure all activities complement the McIntire brand, are delivered on time and provide results.
Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Required
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's Degree required in marketing or related field
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Required Specific Experience: 5+ years in a marketing role 3 years overseeing digital strategy
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Preferred Specific Experience: -2 or more years in higher ed marketing role -Able to copywrite original content -Demonstrated experience with SEO and online ad campaigns -AdWords and Analytics -Agency experience -Working knowledge of email marketing platforms and HTML email design and best practices -Some event planning -Video shoot experience -Photography skills a plus!
